Exercise of the Week: Lunge Press

Happy hump day! Since you’re probably very busy shopping for presents, decorating your home, baking cookies or whatever it is you do during the holiday season, we figured we’d make the exercise of the week a full-body exercise. So, here is the lunge press: 

This exercise can be done a variety of ways, but here’s how to do it using ExcelCord: Facing away from the attachment point, hold both handles palms down with your forearms parallel to the ground. Start with feet shoulder width apart then step out 2-3 feet landing on the ball of your foot. Sink your hips so your front thigh is parallel to the floor and your back knee is barely touching the floor. Upon landing, extend your arms forward. Staying balanced and maintaining control, bring your hands to your chest and step back to the original position. Repeat the exercise with the opposite leg.
