For the next few Saturdays we’re going to bring you articles and images related to alleviating stress as it can lead to a variety of negative physical effects. A common problem in American work culture is overestimating the importance of every little thing throughout the day. Every so often it’s important to take a step back and look at the big picture. Sure, your boss (or professor or coach) may be yelling at you because you were five minutes late to a meeting and it may feel like the end of the world, but in the grand scheme of things is it really such a huge deal? (Note: we’re not saying you shouldn’t take accountability for your actions.) Today, try to let things roll of your back a bit more more than you normally might. And if you start to feel overwhelmed today–or any day–close your eyes, take a deep, calming breath, and relax.
