Exercise of the Week: Downward Dog


The benefits of yoga for athletes deserves its own post, which we will save for another day. Even if you’ve never taken a yoga class, you’ve probably heard of the downward dog. It’s a relatively simple pose that is great for stretching the hamstrings (which tend to be tight for a lot of athletes) and back. It has also been known to decrease tension, headaches, and anxiety. But, like any exercise, it is important that it is done properly!
