Happy May Day! Today’s Exercise of the Week, the rocker drill, is for pitchers.
In a wide athletic stance point your front toe toward your target keeping your back foot parallel with the pitching rubber. With your hands separated, rock forward to create rhythm. As your weight comes forward, begin the throwing motion. Transfer your weight towards the target; release the ball while staying balanced over your front leg. The rocker drill can also be performed starting with your hands together.
